DiRecManagement, Inc. is a single-location, 3rd-party collection agency based in Mobile, Alabama. While many of our clients are located on the Gulf Coast, DiRecManagement, Inc. serves businesses nationwide. To meet our client’s needs we are committed to meeting the requisite state and federal requirements to handle collection accounts in any of the 50 states. DiRecManagement, Inc. handles traditional 3rd-party collections, including medical, non-medical and purchased debt clients, as well as non-traditional collection matters, such as early-out programs, fraud reconciliation campaigns, and contract telephone collections.

DiRecManagement, Inc. began serving clients on April 1, 1997, as Diversified Receivables Management, Inc. founded to provide businesses with specialized collection services to increase their bottom line. In 2001, Diversified became DiRecManagement, Inc.

Meet the Team

The Management Team of DiRecManagement, Inc., has over 150 years of combined 3rd-party collection experience. Each member of the team is committed to providing highly professional, creative and educated service to bring you the best possible resolution. While our experience speaks volumes, team members complete continuing education programs, including ACA International courses, Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA), and HIPAA training, to constantly advance our services and give you confidence in our collection practices.

Management Staff

Stephen B. Ryan

President

Stephen Ryan has served as DiRecManagement’s President since 2018.  Prior to assuming that role he was the Vice President and Director of Collection Operations since the founding of the company in 1997.  Mr. Ryan is an alumnus of the University of South Alabama and graduate of 20th Century Business College. His extensive experience in general collections began in 1980 as the branch manager of a finance company, where he was responsible for all facets of branch operations.  His third-party collection experience began in 1987, where he was a Collection Manager of a collections law firm for ten years. He is also a current member and former president of the West Mobile Rotary Club, where he is heavily involved in community service.

Jason Steadham

Vice President

Mr. Steadham began his career with DiRecManagement while in college at the University of South Alabama in 2002.  Since then he has served as: Medical Collector (2002-2004), Retail Collector (2004-2009), Small Balance Collection Manager (2009-2011), Director of Medical Collections (2011-2018), and currently serves as Vice President.  Mr. Steadham is a member of the Medical Group Management Association (MGMA) and is an ACA International Certified Professional Telephone Collector.

William Joey Jordan

Administrative Director

Joey Jordan has served as DiRecManagement’s Administrative Director since January of 2016. He has been with the company since 2000, starting as a part time collector, and worked in different roles throughout the office, from skip tracing, to assistant bookkeeper, to bookkeeper. He also serves as DiRecManagment’s in-house IT support.

Barre Dumas

Legal Manager

Barre C. Dumas received his J.D. Degree from Samford University’s Cumberland School of Law in 1980. He has been in the private practice of law for 40 years concentrating much of his practice in the area of creditor’s rights. He has provided advise and services to banks, credit unions, collection agencies and medical providers his entire career. In 2018 Mr. Dumas became general counsel to DiRecManagement, Inc. He oversees the company’s legal department and pursues client’s claims in state courts and U.S. Bankruptcy courts. He also advises the company on matters of compliance.

Mr. Dumas is a member of the Alabama State Bar, the Mobile County Bar Association and the Baldwin County Bar Association. He is admitted to practice in all Alabama state courts, the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Alabama, the U.S. Bankruptcy courts for the Southern and Middle Districts of Alabama, an the United States Supreme Court.

Nathan Ryan

Marketing/Client Relations

Nathan worked for DiRecManagement through high school and while pursuing his business degree from the University of South Alabama. After he graduated in 2009, he left for the corporate world and gained valuable experience in analysis, implementation, customer service, and client relations. He rejoined the DiRecManagment team in 2019.
